I am currently trying SMS on a 4GB USB stick prepared with Lili USB Creator.
I'd like to use SMS to try the new btrfs on a 64-bit machine.
I want to install the OS on a USB stick and install Midnight Commander.
Is possible, what should I do?
Thanks,
Maurizio |

To install SMS on USB you have to use SMS.Live.CD which can't use btrfs unless it's on a HDD partition in your machine.
So you need to install it on your disk but, SMS-Current and the upcoming SMS-1.6.0 have btrfs support upon install.
btrfs it's still experimental though linux-2.6.38.2/fs/btrfs/Kconfig
If you boot from SMS.Live.CD you can use it to format a partition on your machine as btrfs and check performance.
