Hi
I have tried to set up DYNDNS to allow access to my server from outside of my home network.
I have set up DYNDNS in my router and its protocol tells me the updates work fine.
I then opened the port 80 to the SMS server - I have made sure SMS keeps the same IP address on the home network (using the MAC address to force the router to keep giving it the 192.168.0.102 address).
If I trace my dyndns address I get the correct IP address, I can ping lsoathome.dyndns.org but I am not able to get any results when using the URL http://lsoathome.dyndns.org in my browser.
DYNDNS' Open Port Tool tells me the ports are open:
lsoathome.dyndns.org:80 is open and accepting connections. This indicates the port is not being blocked by either a firewall or your ISP and is currently operational.
Can anybody tell me what I do wrong ?? - Apache reacts fine inside the home network.

I'm getting a blank page at http://lsoathome.dyndns.org/
What is your router?
Also you can edit /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf so SMS can have static IP.

I gave up on the Router and installed a small program written in Perl on the server:
On Dyndns' webpage you can get the content of the configuration file by selecting your host - here lsoathome.dyndns.org - select "ddclient" and click "generate"
Install the configuration file and the perl script and start ddclient: That works and my Server is now online.
You will only see a login page as I have password protected my website.

So you install ddclient? because ddclient is already installed in SMS...
I'm glad it's working...
