|

Hello,
and welcome to 2.0.9.
Two days ago on a SMS64 1.6.5 machine, I was forced to upgrade clamav from 0.97.4 to 0.98.3 since the older failed working with following error(apparently related to the allowed size of the databases files):
Quote: | LibClamAV Error: mpool_malloc(): Attempt to allocate 8388608 bytes. Please report to http://bugs.clamav.net |
Initially I tryed upgrade to 0.97.5 then 0.97.8 but I got the same error.
After upgrade to clamav-0.98.3-x86_64-1sms.txz(using upgradepkg toghether with openssl-solibs-1.0.1h-x86_64-1sms), the virus scanner is working(under MailScanner of course) but I get the following message after rc.clamav start:
Quote: | LibClamAV Error: [Bytecode JIT]: [LLVM error] (libclamav) Type mismatch converting operand
LibClamAV Warning: [Bytecode JIT]: recovered from error
LibClamAV Error: [Bytecode JIT] *** FATAL error encountered during bytecode generation |
Is there other package I have to upgrade? Google didn't return anything relevant.
I'd like also to upgrade to the last 0.99.2 package but I'm afraid it is too "new".
Thank you very much.
Thanks. |

Hi,
well I don't have such an old installation, so I use Virtualbox appliance of SMS-1.6.5, and upgrading to clamav-0.99.2 and openssl-solibs-1.0.2j was successful, so I would suggest dropping all *.cld from/usr/share/clamav and start downloading databases fresh with freshclam.
Regards
