I've built & run a few different linux flavours before, but SMS is a great concept with some great features:
* secure
* has pretty much everything available a small business or home business user could want
* support for older hardware
* web interfaces and KDE ideal for folks like me who still struggle to remember CLI commands and man page options.
I'm going to have to wait and see how I get on long term without dependency management, though - and I guess it puts a big strain on the developers and maintainers of the distro.
Perhaps it could also be excellent for remotely managing headless machines like XMBC RaspPi etc, tho that's out of my experience. |
