I want to setup hylafax server for my workstation to send & receive fax.
Do I need two modems?
If yes, should I connect same phone line (parallel) to both modem or have to use two different phone line for sending & receiving fax? |

The proper way is to use two or more modems and an ISDN line just for fax.
One for receiving and one for sending. You could place them both in the same line parallel but you may have problems as when it sends can't receive at the same time.
You could try to use one modem for sending and receiving, I try that in the past but had problems, with sending faxes most of the times and had to setup faxaddmodem it's time I wanted to send a fax.
If you have a serial modem just plug it and run faxsetup for your line info.
Default setup is under serial port 1 (ttyS0) so it should recognize it.
