|
|
Long story short: my motherboard on computer1 running SMS stopped working, so I tried to move the HDD to computer2 as a temporary solution. I wasn't too sure if only moving the HDD would be okay, but everything seems to work fine except that the network isn't working.
When I try to ping my router i get "connection: network is unreachable", and ifconfig doesn't show any eth#, only lo. The network card on computer2 is working nice with the HDD with SMS that's usually in it.
Is there any way to fix this without reinstalling? |

Hi,
no need to reinstall anything..
First thing try
to see if your network card is down, probably because assigned as eth1 or eth2.
Also try to see your network card with
If you see your card on another ethX edit /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf
and run
Code: | /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 ethX_restart |
or even
or you can try to edit or delete the contents of
/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
