Well, there isn't an easy way to find slackware package dependencies, as far as I know...
You need to choose your packages and then check binaries with "ldd".
You can also rebuilt packages to remove a dependency e.g. to linuxpam.

What exactly you want to remove?

trying to remove all the x windows manager other than kde(hoping). and all the applications i dont use. also trying to remove all the servers i don't use. pretty much all the servers other than cups and samba. making package list suitable for laptop. and want to add some applications like scribus or inkscape.

when i tried to trim cups, i found out you need ghostscript to actually print out. but you still can run cups without it. it just won't print out. so I was searching cups dependency in Beyond Linux From Scratch. and I found out it has different version number with different dependencies. so I need to know exact slackware deps in order to trim things out

Removing X windows server you will not be able to run KDE, if you are referring to desktop environments, then KDE is the only DE.

"ldd" is your tool for checking that, you may also not want PAM, but unfortunately you need to recompile samba package, to remove linuxpam dependency.
