The server looks very promising, however my needs for the server are a little lower than the full startup and layout. I'm hoping to run this on a VM on the side hopefully with like 32-64meg assigned. So I'll ask my questions.

1) How do I do a minimal install? By that I mean just enough to get the OS booted and the rest to take over from the LiveCD, save for newer/updated files etc. that are on the mounted hard drive.

2) How do I turn off the services I don't want on? I mostly need AMP (Apache, MySql, PHP) and that's it. Mail server, Torrent client, all this extra stuff isn't needed or wanted.

64MB of Ram is not enough, but you can try though.
You need to install SMS.Native.CD and choose huge kernel not the smp.
Select only a, l and n series, and select from menu installation from ap mysql
from d libtool and from n de-select all the servers you don't want like postfix, mailscanner, clamav, e.t.c.
