I installed vm 1.5.1 and here are the steps that I performed:

1. install

2. stopped hylafax ( )

3. configured xorg

4. startx

5. mounted native-extra 1.5.1.iso

6. installed jdk and jre

7. exited windows

8. rebooted

9. login and startx

10. took a look around and exited windows

11. system hangs

12. powered up vm machine sms and get this msg:

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine SMS-1.5.1.

Could not open the medium '/home/baboo/.VirtualBox/HardDisks/SMS-1.5.1.vdi.vmdk'.

VMDK: inconsistency between grain table and backup grain table in '/home/baboo/.VirtualBox/HardDisks/SMS-1.5.1.vdi.vmdk' (VERR_VD_VMDK_INVALID_HEADER).

VD: error VERR_VD_VMDK_INVALID_HEADER opening image file '/home/baboo/.VirtualBox/HardDisks/SMS-1.5.1.vdi.vmdk' (VERR_VD_VMDK_INVALID_HEADER).

I do not have this behavior on 1.5.0

Are you using Virtualbox version 3.2.0 or 3.2.4?

Try with both...

EDIT: Googling it, points to corrupted image, checksum is OK?

				Have you upgrade guest additions?

Have you deleted and imported again?

I thought you build a patio in the past...

If you deleted and imported again you shouldn't have any problem, try import the disk to another partition, and different name.

I cannot make 1.5.1. vm work. Have tried everything. It installs without errors and I can install java but when I reboot, it will either not reboot or boots then hangs when I try to do something.

I am using virtualbox 3.2.4 and 1.5.0 and they work great! So, sticking with that for now. |

I'll try installing Java and try to reboot, depending on what happens either I'll re upload or create a new one with latest Virtualbox.

I'm getting weird errors when trying to create a new one, either version 3.2.4 version has something different, or my HDD is bad.

I'll upload a new one from SMS-Current soon.

The things that you have are the thing that I do also. However, mine works fine and nothing went wrong. Maybe the product of yours have the problem. _________________ Online Refrigerator |
