I have a problem with proftpd. I have set up the server with a virtual server. I have added user. I can not connect using an ftp program. It is suppose to connect to the virtual server but when I am trying to connect it is connecting to the server.
I am user the following software
SMS 1.4.4
proftpd 1.3.2
filezilla 3.2.6.1
local IP address
Error on filezilla
connecting to 192.168.0.7:21...
Connection established, waiting on welcome message...
220 SMS FTP server
user test
331 password required for test
Pass
530 Login incorrect.
Critical Error
could not connect to server.
This username has no password.
Should this not be connecting to the virtual server "Black Widow FTP"? |

How did you setup the virtual server.
Try changing from /etc/gadmin-proftpd/settings.conf
'virtual_users off'
to on
