				| I have sms 1.4.2 and I want to upgrade to sms 1.4.3. Can I use "slapt-get --dist-upgrade"? There are other ways to make a dist upgrade?

				| Download SMS.Native.CD-1.3.13-install.iso. edit your /etc/inittab
 telinit 1
and boot into single user mode
mount SMS.Native.CD-1.3.13 for instance in /packages
 and do
 upgradepkg /packages/slackware/a/glibc-solibs-*.tgz
 upgradepkg /packages/slackware/a/pkgtools-*.tgz
 then
 upgradepkg --install-new /packages/slackware/*/*.tgz

If you search the forum you will find a thread about how to do this. That's where I got this.

 good luck

				| Thank you. It's similar to "upgrade.txt" by Patrick Volkerding
  .
From now I will (try to) use "search" button first, I promise.

				| Since there are no glibc or kernel changes in this release you can alternative use slapt-get. Beware that if you didn't install development packages before the upgrade, with the method discribed in the above post (which is absolutely right) you will install the devel series too, as from this release the devel series are including in the Install disk.
One of the reasons SMS repository kept with .tgz packages was slapt-get.
It's wise always to add the -s, --simulate before an upgrade.

				| Thanks again.
I have a question: would you attach a "upgrade.txt" file in next releases (to allow users know how to upgrade their distro)?

				| There is already an UPGRADE.TXT in SMS.Native.CD-1.4.3-Install.iso, actually it's the one from Slackware-12.2.
