Using native 1.3.7 and brought up your install of egroupware. Tried root as user and toor as password, but they didn't work.

Could you post user name and password?

thanks

Go to http://sms/egroupware/setup/
and create the admin account.

going to http://sms/egroupware/setup brings up a split screen.

Top part is config username
Bottom part is header admin username

It appears to me, that you must have the prior usernames and passwords to login and change.

I tried entering in new name and password but it says invalid.

I'm sorry, did not know link existed. I went to about page looking for that info.

Well, I was able to change header password successfully. But I still can not login to egroupware as admin:newpasswd.

It gives me a message bad password.

You must create an admin account on setup/config admin login.
Header password it's for Header admin login only. To be able to login to eroupware you must enter the login info of the admin account you created earlier at setup/config admin login.

thanks for the help.

I guess I must have made a mistake. I changed the egwuser password to something new. Told it to write and then clicked on continue.

When I try to access egroupware login page, I get a message saying I must go to setup and regenerate db table. Did I blow it?

If we want to try using sms as its setup, would you recommend copying header.inc.php file to bak and then creating a new one with personalized data?

I know I am asking alot of questions today but I am trying to test before I go out of town tomorrow.

thanks

I think that egwuser password was egwpass, you can try it or create a new user and grant privileges to egroupware db and enter user and pass of new user.
Always made a backup of what you changed to be on a safe ground Wink

On my installs, I can not login to egroupware. Not with admin:admin or egwuser:egwpass.

Not sure if this has to do with nativecd install or there is no login for demo purpose.

I can login to setup page. I will create a new database. I just don't want to lose ldap or postfix integration with what you have already done.

thanks

egwuser and egwpass it's for egroupware mysql database, don't confuse them.
When you login to setup page on Setup/config Admin login there is a 'create admin account' have you done that?
If you do then that's the login info you need to login at http://sms/egroupware and configure your site.
If you didn't do that then create the admin account.
