|
|
hallo to everybody from happy beginner SMS user from Italy!
hm... probably this is trivial but...
I tried to change the Change OpenLDAP Sever password via Webmin.
I succedeed but I noted that while original password was SSHA encrypted the new password is Unix encrypted...
No top secret stuff on my Server but ...
I seem to know that Unix encryption for passwords is not the top security...
How to change password again restoring original SSHA encryption?
Thanks to all. My kindest regards!
Ciao. |

Use phpldapadmin to change passwords and choose the encryption you want.
Instructions at http://sms.it-ccs.com/wiki/#LinkTarget_22914
Or else you can do it from terminal by typing “slappasswd” enter your password, copy/paste your password in slapd.conf e.g.
rootpw {SSHA}CMsEaYBDv2oO0TVpeCr0cwQVfTBm8/pJ
