Hello,

I downloaded "SMS.Native.CD-1.3.13-Install.iso" and i tried to install on an virtual box and i get a question to setup partition with fdisk or cfdisk. After doing so (not sure i did'it correctly) i can't get any further with the installation ,i get stuck in the select source cd/dvd and destination partition step of setup.

Can you please give me some hints

Thanks in advance.

hi..

Run cfdisk create a partition with type=83 and before quit select write.
type setup again and choose destination, script should auto find your linux partition.
Continue with the source, choose autoscan, if script can't find the emulation cdrom try add it your self.
After that choose full installation and wait to finish installing packages, and to configure you linux system.
For testing you can use SMS.Live.CD though.

The proper installation requires a swap partition.
If you have 2-3GB of memory you will never used your swap partition, but it's good to have it available.
In my linux boxes with 1GB RAM swap partition never get used at all.
