I have installed SMS and It looks good, very good. There are a few things that I either don't understand, can't find or have plain got wrong.

After I printed out "Samba-3 by example" from a pdf file, I found it on the hard drive in HTML format, but I cant find it again, where is it, or was I dreaming ? If I use Webmin to search for documentation it lists a lot but can't display them. I get "Invalid package documentation path"

I have a UPS is it possible to make SMS shutdown on a power failure ? Could I install Network UPS Tools (NUT)

Webmin can show me the temperatures of my drives, is it possible to show the CPU temp as well ? Could I install Lm_sensors - Linux hardware monitoring and have it show in Webmin ?

Checking large hard drives takes quite a while, could this be done as part of the shutdown routine rather than startup ?

How do I stop HylaFax from always starting on bootup ?

man pages and docs are ripped off from SMS.Live.CD to save space.
They are available in SMS.Native.CD only.

You could, what brand is your UPS?
I had used in the past apcupsd with my APC ups, works perfectly.

You can install lm-sensors but I don't know if there is an lm-sensors webmin module available. I'll check it though.

Checking disks at startup is important and required in a power failure sittuation. If you have a power failure, at first boot disks must be checked, if not, your system might break, so checking disks in shutdown is not the best thing to do.
Unless you are not experience power failures, it would take months, even year between checking disks, since system it's up and running 24/7.

For hylafax edit /etc/inittab and remove or comment dialup line for faxgetty, and do
chmod -x /etc/rc.d/rc.hylafax

I have been looking at lm-sensors. Webmin does have a module that supports it. I have installed lm-sensors however it doesnt go.

Running sensors-detect ends up with:

Sorry, no chips were detected.
Either your sensors are not supported, or they are
connected to an I2C bus adapter that we do not support.

I did a bit of looking and found this:

Patch went in kernel 2.6.27-rc1

So doesn't that mean that it should work ? I have the 2.6.27.7-smp kernel

With regard to running e2fsck on shut down. My server is used at home and so gets no use between when I go to bed an when someone gets up in the morning so it gets turned off and thus saves between 1/4 and 1/3 on power. I agree that its important to check the drives on boot up, but every 20 boots it does a full drive check which takes maybe 5 or 10 minutes. So I figured if it did that on shutdown it would never do so on boot up, unless we have a power cut.

The UPS is called a Thor I havent looked into what else its called yet.

Regarding fsck on shutdown you can download and replace
/etc/rc.d/rc.S
/etc/rc.d/rc.6
with those in the tar file here

Also you can change the frequency of mount times with
tune2fs -c [number of mount times] [your disk]

I don't know your status about lm-sensors but I have found little time and test lm-sensors...
First you should run sensors-detect
Slackware package is missing the init startup script, download the source and copy prog/init/lm_sensors.init to /etc/rc.d/ or /etc/init.d and run it after sensors-detect.
You should add it to /etc/rc.d/rc.local also to run at startup.
That was it.

from lm-sensors documentation:
The initial output of `sensors' will not be perfect. You have to adjust
the configuration file (/etc/sensors3.conf) to match your motherboard.
This includes (re)labelling inputs, ignoring unused inputs, changing
voltage compute lines and setting limits. Write down all the sensor
information your BIOS displays as a hint to what you are supposed to
obtain in the end. Make sure you modify the right chip section.
