I noticed that the follwing messages appear:
1. dnsmasq: failed to create listening socket: already in use. (is this because I am using DSL server for DNS?)
2. Warning: Xclamav: local socket name /var/run/clamav-milter/milter.sock missing. (is this due to not having x windows on server but on client?) |

1. I think it's started before and trying to start for second time that's why the fail message.. It's working though...
2. That's because sendmail starts before clamav and doesn't see milter.sock. ClamAV-milter starts after, it's an warning and not an error, don't worry. In liveCD there is no error cause I left the milter.sock. If you install it on HDD after the system reboots remove all pids and socks.

I've got the same problem. Version 1.3.13 1.4.1, LiveCD. I can't even install to HD because after "erroring an warning" with ClamAV I can only see "Starting mail scanner" (about 5 minutes) and then "mysql ended", then SMS hangs.
It appears with both versions on my 3 compters - server, laptop and desktop. |

SMS.Live.CD has become memory hungry due to lot of services running, at startup.
ClamAV milter get timeout if you have a slow CPU with not enough memory. Having a swap helps the situation, but you need patience to install it on HDD.
Another workaround for running SMS.Live.CD is to place the iso on you disk, even in a windows partition and at boot promt of liveCD press TAB and add 'from=/dev/yourdisk/SMS.Live.CD-1.4.1.iso' and ENTER. You will have no problem that way since it's not usind CD Drive to boot, it's like booting from disk.
If you want to install SMS try SMS.Native.CD instead though.
