I wanted to try this Live cd,
I downloaded and burned ISO
put it in my machine rebooted
first error was vesamenu.32 dos error
I don't have windows so I manual did
/boot/vmlinuz
starts to boot then it can't find the root directory on cdrom so I get kernel panic...
what do I do to get this live cd to work so I can try out this software before installing on my harddrive? |

Hello...
Have you check the md5 checksum of SMS.Live.CD-1.3.13.iso you downloaded?
Try to burn it on lower speed, or place it on your HDD and boot with the parameter from=/dev/yourdisk/SMS.Live.CD-1.3.13.iso
There is nothing special to do for booting the livecd.

I tried livecd in a different machine it seems to work fine.
The machine I want to use it on is an AMD Duron with two hard drives broken up into 5 partitions could this be the issue? |

I doubt, since livecd will only use swap partitions. Just unplug your drives and boot with no drives to check if that's the issue.
It's more likely to be bios issues. just check you bios setup if there are options regarding boot devices.
