I ran the livecd script and everything appeared to go well. Burned iso file and then rebooted with new cd. I get a Grub 22 error and no boot.

Could you tell me what I did wrong?

thanks |

I've never tested 6.2.4 to tell you for sure.

Something is wrong in your BOOT directory though if fails on boot.

I posted out at slax.org and asked for help, hopefully author replies.

I downloaded 6.2.4 and unpacked to /tmp directory. Then ran ./build script. After it was done I created iso.

The cd boots and I install to hard drive, but when I reboot I get the grub 22 error. Do you see anything I am doing wrong? |

SMS (as Slackware) use lilo and not grub.

Did you run sms-text-installer to install on disk?

to be able to boot to your installation boot with SMS.Native.CD and type at boot prompt

 	  | Code: | | hugesmp.s root=/dev/[youlinuxpartition] rdinit=ro |

ignore some errors, when you boot type 'liloconfig' to setup lilo or run lilo and post your /etc/lilo.conf

that worked. I was able to boot from harddrive.

a couple of odd things. I noticed that the root folder did not exist with newly created cd. Also, I can not get X windows to work.

thanks for help |

Never use 6.2.4, maybe Tomas removed root directory or so.

Try an older version of the livecd scripts. I use 6.1.5 for SMS thought.

I am going to try the older script later today. It takes about 4 hours to create the build and iso, so I will have to do it later.
