[SMS]

On my main SMS server, I am running X windows. I inserted a cd but get the following error:

Cannot obtain lock on /media/.hal-mtab

How can I fix that?

Is cdrom device listed in /etc/fstab?
If listed then remove it.

no.

cliqN# cat /etc/fstab
/dev/hda2 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/hda3 / ext3 defaults,noatime 1 1

/media folder exists?
try to delete it and recreated.

media folder did not exist. I created one and now works.

don't know. Do you think it might have something to do with live-cd build?

I install LiveCD but media folder exists, don't install development packages though.

Not sure what you are saying. I installed sms Livecd and develpkgs. I downloaded and installed the live-cd script. Does it have sources that you are suppose to download as well?

I meant I install SMS.LiveCD-1.3.7 to HDD and automount (HAL) worked with no problem and folder /media exists.
