Hello all,

I started the SMS LiveCD version 2.0.8 on my Quad core Q6450 rig.

As above, I can only see on cpu. Is it normal ?
I didn't see any info on the forum so far...
I obviously need the full power of the cpu, so what did I miss ?

Thanks

Makila

Hello,

the SMS.LiveCD is optimized for i486 (no SMP support) so it can boot on older machines, so yes it's normal to see only one CPU...

You can boot with SMS64.LiveCD to have SMP support, and utilizes all CPU cores/threads.

If you want to install SMS 32bit there will be no problem as the default kernel is SMP, this is only for the LiveCD 32bit.
