Hi all,
Does anyone know a linux tool for checking the health of phisical hdd already included into a raid drive?
I have a HP DL380 G5 server with 4 hdd's. I defined 2 different raid 1 drives each containig 2 phisical hdd's.
The problem is that one of the hdd shows a red light.
Thanks for any help. |

Red light, most likely means the drive is offline....
smart monitor tools will do the job, I always use them to test drivers...
Code: | smartctl -d auto -a /dev/sdX |
Although if the drive clicks or it's offline it will not show...
