Ok...

Downloaded the new iso and wrote it to my flash drive. Boots fine and the install went through without problems (apart from the fact that the video in the microserver is too dumb to understand a 1440x900 resolution and keeps dropping the cursor off the bottom of the screen...). No problem with the USB keyboard this time round.

The system is running, but there is still a problem of some sort. I checked /lib/modules and found that powernow-k8.ko is in the correct directory.. However, attempting to use modprobe to load it results in an error - doesn't seem to be able to find the module, which is certainly the correct one for the Turion CPU. I've tried running depmod manually, which doesn't report any errors, but still can't load the module.

I'll do some more checking and see if anything else comes up.

Paul.

While the USB keyboard problem in the 64-bit version is fixed by the latest iso, I've ended up having to go with 2.0.5 for the moment - I was having problems with SSH and I could not get the cpu frequency throttling to work at all on an install based on the new iso.

With 2.0.5, no problems with SSH, and the powernow-k8 module autoloads without any need to try modprobe. CPU throttling was easy to set up.

I have another Microserver so I'll check with the next release to see if the problem has gone away.
