As I know you are in planning stages of next version of SMS, I thought this info might help (also, I'm sure you already know this).
SAMBA V4.1 in early October.
Note: the info relating to client services for PCs
Hope this is helpful to both SMS development and users documentation.
This packaging of SMS is a great effort.
One other idea; an additional packaged ISO that has KDE and your KDE toolset built-in, OOTB. This would accelerate user testing and reporting.
