I've got a couple of recent (2.0.1) installs of SMS which are both showing errors when running slapt-get. As below:
Code: | root@sms:~# slapt-get --update

If I then try to install any packages, I get this....
Code: | root@sms:~# slapt-get -i nut

Perhaps you want to run --update? |
Is there a more current source list for slapt-get, or am I missing something else?

Remove all mirrors "eldes-solutions", also run
slapt-get -add-keys
for verification.

Thanks. That fixed it.
I've just about finished a month off work, and finally got time to work on a project of my own - a replacement for my old Amahi server, using some new hardware and SMS. I expect there will be more questions shortly....
I'll have to decide whether to stick with the 32-bit version or use the 64-bit. I've got 2 GB of RAM in the new box, not sure if there is any advantage going to 64-bit unless I'm using a lot more memory

64bit has the advantage of virtual memory, if you are using openldap for instance you will see a big difference, even with 2GB RAM.
Of course, most likely you aren't going to see big difference in most apps, since 2GB of RAM ain't little, unless you are building a multi-threaded database server.

Thanks. I had to fight with getting a working flash drive for installation (I'm running Arch on my laptop and Salix on the desktop machine - both are now using udisks to handle removable media. Udisks and polkit make it very difficult to execute a bash script on a flash drive...). Finally got a 64-bit install drive and now have 2.0.1 installed. I've yet to configure much, but I do expect to be using OpenLdap eventually.
I had a bit of trouble getting CPU throttling working as well - got it to work eventually, but on the AMD CPU it seems quite lazy switching from one speed to another.
Thanks for the help - I hope to have the machine in a position to replace my old Amahi server later this week. Just looking at getting dnsmasq running at the moment (Bind seems like overkill for a small home network).
