The MailScanner command was not found on your system.

mailscanner module works from live cd, but when installed to hd, the mailscanner module no longer functional.
Does this normally need to reinstalled after an install to the hd?

Have you tried to restart mailscanner?
/etc/rc.d/rc.mailscanner stop
/etc/rc.d/rc.mailscanner start
Mailscanner is installed under /opt/MailScanner so mailscanner command is at
/opt/MaiScanner/bin/mailscanner

If you installed from liveCD it's normal to do that the first tim you boot because it has not kill the previous pid.

EDIT-
I just reinstalled 1.3.5 and the /opt directory does not exist.
Therefore no Mailscanner. I am using VMWare WS 6.02 with scsi vdk

root@sms:~# cd /opt
-bash: cd: /opt: No such file or directory

root@sms:~# cd /
root@sms:/# ls -a
./ bin/ dev/ home/ mnt/ root/ srv/ tmp/ var/
../ boot/ etc/ lib/ proc/ sbin/ sys/ usr/
root@sms:/#
