I wish postfix was built with PostgreSQL support and vsftpd be built with PAM support as well. I know we can rebuild them, but this means each time software is updated we need to rebuild as well. My third wish is to have pam-pgsql module included in SMS as well, but this one is a very obscure module that some big distro dont bother packaging it.

Thanks.

Are you using pam with SMS?
Did you upgrade util-linux package from /extra/PAM?
I can rebuilt package of vsftpd in /extra/PAM where util-linux is.

I'll look about postgresql, and pam-pgsql, the problem for a package maintainer is that, I have to install and uninstall different packages for linking same package with different libs.
I already doing it for asterisk or postgresql though, so I might do it for postfix as well.
