I get the following message when I try to access the file manager in webmin with firefox:
This module requires java to function, but your browser does not support java
This is strange because yesterday I was logged in and didn't have this problem. BTW, this is only happening with firefox. Chrome is able to display the file manager module.
My wife's computer with firefox has no problem displaying the file manager.
I've searched but haven't found anything pointing to a solution. Has anyone else seen this? If so, could you post how you fixed it.

I had same problems with firefox and java with my web banking, never figure out the reason, but many times, reloading page or restarting firefox worked, others didn't though.
Problem also occurred on every update of java, but never had problems with firefox and java in webmin.
You can try starting firefox with all add-ons disabled, and see if it works.

Well, I fixed it. I removed sun-java6 and installed openjre6 and all worked. I suspect if I reinstalled sun-java6 it would have worked as well.
