*.tgz ,*.tar and *tar.gz are tarballs they are the same, slackware use the *.tgz extension because packages were tarballs.
So you install the source of qiv as package, you probably filled up your root directory or your existing `pwd` with garbage.

You need to build qiv, or if you found it elsewhere (slacky.eu) for slackware 13.0 you can try to install it to see if it's working, and if not uninstall it and build it from source.
Don't forget to install the dependencies for those packages too.

I'll take a look later today.

I uninstalled qiv ( removepkg qiv-2.2.3.tgz )! But, I think tarball was a tar.gz, tar.bz, tar.bz2... A arquive in its source-code! And tgz was a prepared archive using individuals compliles options, like:

a)./configure ( prefix = usr or usr/local), (sisconfdir=/usr/local/etc or /etc);
b)DESTDIR ( /tmp or /usr );
c) Strip uses or not;
d) Cflags Cpu optimization use or not...; and
e) Checkinstall uses or not

Well... Hehehe, go ahead!

I`m yet looking for qiv and its system dependencies and I very gratefully for your help!

Curiously, it seemed to be ok, but I `m trying to run Cyber Control programm and when I open a Normal X Session it`s no function. Then if I lock current and start a Root Session and go to konsole... Bingo! That`s all right. Have you already seen it? Is it important change inittab and in fact restart X after normal user creation?

This is a output error and /etc/sudoers was edited.

normal@server:/etc$ sudo -H xlanbr
mkdir: cannot create directory `/root/.dosemu': File exists
No protocol specified
ERROR: X: Can't open display ":0.0".
Either the connection was refused and you do not have enough
access rights to connect to your X server or there is
something wrong with the contents of your DISPLAY variable.
If the connection was refused then please consult your system
administator or read the X documentation for a solution
(use xauth, xhost, or ssh -X)

I tryed to install native sms cd to 40G hard disk drive, but it wasn´t possible. Before installing I did 4 partitions using slack 12.2 dvd and used fdisk programm. Formated it in a ext 3 and had a primary partition /boot (10g) , a logical swap partition (512M) and a rest space disk was /home. Then in installer process I saw during 10 seconds a beautiful light blue screen in an automatic choose process. Unfortunately occured that the keyboard didn´t change options and linux started scripts and stoped in a Kernel Panic message. What should I do?
