If I type date it shows the correct time. 'Hwclock -r' shows the correct time.

But, 'ls -l /etc/localtime' is off by a day. I've been searching on how to sync but have been very successful. Could you point me in the right direction?

With all your knowledge, I am sure this seems trivial but I am working on enhancing security of server and time accuracy is very important.

thanks

Why do you think /etc/localtime is not sync?
Do a 'zdumb /etc/localtime'
'ls -l /etc/localtime' show you file info and the last modified time.
You can additionally try 'tz' and set the export to /etc/profile.

Its in sync. BTW, shouldn't it be 'zdump' instead of 'zdumb'. Although it does seem appropriate for me Smile

thanks for the reply
