I have an app (actually two) that require tomcat. In the install instructions they mention that you need to make sure you have the right JDBC driver. If java is installed, does that meet the requirement?

thanks

BTW: I have installed a couple of servers that compete with sms and I must say sms has been the most stable of the bunch. It really is a pleasure working with it.

Which apps you trying to install?
You can use tomcat package from openbravo script and jre and jdk packages. as well...
'wget' them if you haven't already and install them..
As for jdbc I believe so, if not we will figure this out..

thanks for the help. I thought I might be able to use OpenBravo stuff.

I am trying to install obm - http://obm.aliasource.fr . One of my colleagues at Secure Computing told me they use it and really like it. So, I wanted to take a look at it.

thanks

The other app which is actually my first priority is iportal. Since we are non-profit we share resources with another non-profit (quite large) for use of their infrastructure.

The portal with ldap will help me separate our group of volunteers from the other groups email server.

Really, thanks for all the help.
