Here are my questions:
1. Why sendmail instead of postfix? Personal preference?
2. Have you considered dovecot for imap?
3. I know postfix does not require recompiling whe using ldap 2.0. Does sendmail have such a requirement?
4. Do you know of any good email ldap schemas?
I like to learn from people so I am interested in your opinions.
The more I look at SMS the more I like it.

1. Sendmail comes with Default Slackware Installation and I find it quite stable.
It's more difficult to configure sendmail than postfix or exim, for virtual email systems, such as dovecot. I check both exim and postfix and probably I'll add a package of postfix soon.
But I don't want to messed up sendmail and system becomes unstable.
So yes there will be a postfix add-on. but I'm not thinking at the momment to replace sendmail.
2. Yes from the beginning. That's the reason I recompile OpenLDAP.
I was about to upload the add-on, I spent few days testing, I was not satisfied though, but it's a good imap server. Just checking a few things before uploading it.
3. You can use LDAP you have to configure sendmail for that.
4. I don't know any good scemas, I'm not playing with LDAP a lot. I believe if you google "sendmail ldap" you will find a lot of them.
