Can I install the official slackware security packages (like cups-1.3.10-i486-1_slack12.2.tgz, udev-141-i486-1_slack12.2.tgz, and so on)?
Or there are some inconvenient?
Also, eventually can I use slapt-get for these updates? _________________ Come to visit my own site about GNU/Linux!

You can track SMS repository at SMS-Current tree.
http://sms.it-ccs.com/isos/SMS-Current/
Cups is already available, uden will be soon, I don't thing you will have problem
upgrading with slackware udev package.
As for slaptget it depends on the package you want to upgrade and the repository you are going to use.
EDIT: udev package available.

Thanks a lot.
So I have to checkout the "-current" version for updates?
Its packages are compatible with previous versions? _________________ Come to visit my own site about GNU/Linux!
