I noticed upon logging in to webmin, it gave me a message that an upgrade to webmin is available.

Should I upgrade? Or would that potentially have issues with SMS?

No problems just choose not to install deleted modules in webmin upgrade section.
I'll upload some updates though including webmin, if not today tomorrow.
